Cory Vandertie is a lifelong resident of Southern Door. Growing up on a dairy farm in Brussels, he learned the important values of hard work, commitment and service to others. After earning his Bachelors of Science Degree from UW-Stevens Point, he spent 14 years as an elementary education teacher.  He then went on to earn his Masters Degree in Instructional Leadership from Viterbo University, allowing him to serve in administrative leadership roles for 10 years. 

Currently, Cory serves the community in his part time role as the Program Director for the Southern Door Community Auditorium.  He has the great honor of planning live entertainment programming that includes both local, regional and national touring acts for our rural community.  This includes a Community Series that features 15-20 shows per season and an Arts in Education series provided to all area public, private and home school students and educators.

Cory resides in Brussels with his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Myles, Owen and Kashus.
