Marc Vandenhouten
Marc grew up in Southern Door on his family’s dairy and crop farm north of Brussels and is a graduate of Southern Door High School. As a student, he was actively involved in athletics and extracurricular activities, while also participating in 4-H, Boy Scouts, and the Door County Fair.
After completing college, Marc returned to the Southern Door community, where he served as an elementary teacher and coach. He now serves as the elementary and middle school principal at Southern Door. In addition, he serves as the Southern Door representative for the Southern Door School District and has been the SDBA president since 2022.
Marc continues to live in Brussels with his wife, Sarah, and their four young children. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, running full and half marathons, supporting Wisconsin and Southern Door athletics, checking out local food places and events in Southern Door with his family, and helping on the family farm. Marc and his family are also active members of St. Francis and St. Mary’s Parish in Brussels.
